Preparation is Key

Every winter season presents a different set of challenges for our crews. Knowing this is what enables us to ready our fleets and stock up on the correct materials to help keep parking lots and roadways safe for all to use. Snow falls, ice storms, blizzards, floods, sleet, freezing rain, nor easters, and snow squalls all have a different set of rules to abide by, but we make sure that we are prepared for all at a moments notice. Our past experience tells us that trying to accurately forecast the winter weather is a complicated process. It starts with a wide network of observing systems such as satellites, Doppler radars and automated surface observing systems. Computers forecast models, then take this information and estimate what will happen next. Even this can change at a moment’s notice, which too can present an extremely difficult set of challenges for all un-experienced companies in our field. That’s why we pride our selves on being the best at what we do and readying ourselves for what ever mother nature has to offer during this time of year. Hard work and experience accompanied by and research and development throughout the years has allowed us to come up with a set of strategies that work for all our clients. Three D is prepared to tackle all forms of precipitation during this winter, are you?
